Painting is something that expresses the inner thoughts, feelings and beliefs of the painter. The expression are sometimes easy to understand but most of the time, the esthetic sense should be there to understand the message and thought conveyed by the painter. Abstraction, drawing and composition are the types of paintings that are usually painted by the people. To make a painting is a master’s art that cannot be learned, but it is blessed. Painting is usually associated with the mood.
Nevertheless, we will mention here five types of paintings that are usually famous in the world.

Panel painting type is definitely the oldest one. Greece and Roman painters have been found to work on panels. But the found samples are very few. Panel painting is a painting that was done on a simple piece of wood or different pieces of woods were joint together to make a painting. Before invention of canvas, panel painting was the most successful type of painting.

Abstract paintings are the most appreciable and worth noting type of painting. It uses some specific composition with a free and independent style to express the idea of the painter. Abstract art uses visual language and colors to draw a painting. The abstract art is something that is actually a non figured art that does not represent an object or something. It can be said a free art, but its value is rising day by day.

Oil paintings is something that is made with oil paints and any object, any scene and idea can be drawn. Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, the Arnolfini Portrait by Jan van Eyck in 1434, The Rape of Europa by Titian in 1562 and Napoleon Crossing through the St. Bernard Pass by Jacques Louis David in 1801 were made with oil paints that is the true depiction of oil art. They gained fame all over the world.

Miniature is another famous type of painting in which small scale reproduction of painting is kept in view. It needs high level of error free painting that is done with great efficiency. The smaller it is, the smaller tit bits are maintained to make it a master art.

Another very famous type of painting is to make sketches. This type of painting is done to make somehow same image of a still or lively thing in the same way as it is. Common people usually like it and still life painting definitely attract people and the artistic sense of the painter becomes evident in such paintings.
